It's a quintessential American ballet—Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring conjures the majesty of rugged landscapes, and a spirit of hope and possibility. Carlos Kalmar leads the Grant Park Orchestra in the suite from Appalachian Spring alongside Mozart's soaring Jupiter Symphony, a piece imbued with such splendrous grandeur, someone named it after the king of the gods.
